Requirements

To be eligible for tryouts, a student must have all of the following completed:

• Completed sports packet in Register My Athlete (webpage).
• A copy of a medical insurance card. We require all athletes to show proof of medical insurance. Athletes not covered under a family or other insurance plan may purchase student health insurance online. We also provide insurance packets in the front office.
• The athlete pays the participation fee after the athlete has made the team selection. The fee is $75.00 per sport with an athlete cap of $225.00 for the school year.
• Sports physicals are good for one full calendar year. For example, if a student has a physician-signed physical dated February of 2025 on file, then the student may participate in sports until February of 2026. A current copy of the medical insurance card will still be required.

Aktivate Registration Instructions for Parents/Guardians

 (formerly Register My Athlete)

To ensure your student is eligible and ready for the upcoming season, parents must complete all athletic registration requirements through the Aktivate website. This streamlined, online platform replaces paper forms, providing a single, secure location to submit all necessary information, including physical examination forms, emergency contact details, and signed waivers.

Using Aktivate ensures that all student-athletes meet school and state eligibility requirements before they can participate in practices or games. It is an essential step to guarantee a safe, compliant, and well-organized athletic experience for everyone.

Step 1: Create a Parent/Guardian Account

1. Go to: www.aktivate.com (webpage)

2. Click Login

3. Click Create an Account

Important:

• You only need ONE account, even if you have children at more than one high school or junior high.

• Do NOT create a new account if you previously used Register My Athlete or Aktivate.

4. Enter your personal information. Be sure to select Parent/Guardian as your role.

5. Click Create Account.

6. You will receive an email with a 6-digit verification code.

7. Open your email in a separate tab and enter the verification code when prompted.

   • Do not close your Aktivate tab.

   • The email may take a few minutes to arrive.

Step 2: Register Your Student for an Activity

1. Log in using your email and password.

2. Under the Parents section, click:
   Click here to start/complete athlete registrations

3. Select Start/Complete Registrations.

4. Click the New Registration (+) button in the upper right corner.

5. Click the red Select School bar and choose your student’s school.

6. Follow the instructions in each red section until registration is complete.

7. When finished, you will receive a confirmation email.

How to Enroll Online

Enrollment is simple and takes only a few minutes.

1. Visit: www.studentinsurance-kk.com (webpage)

2. Click the Enroll Now button.

3. Enter the name of your child’s school district and the state where your child attends school.

4. Enter each student’s name and grade level.

5. Review the available plans and rates. Select your desired coverage.

6. Enter parent/guardian contact information (name and email address).

7. Enter the information for the child or children to be covered.

8. Provide payment information (credit card or eCheck).

9. Print and save the confirmation page for your records.
